Arrests

We made 18 arrests in Wealden last week.

2 drivers were arrested in Hailsham - 1 for drink driving and 1 for drug driving.

6 individuals were arrested for assault in Heathfield, Wadhurst, Crowborough, Stone Cross and Uckfield.

We made an arrest for theft from a shop in Hailsham.

Other offences included drunk and disorderly, criminal damage, failing to appear at court and GBH.

Out and about across Wealden during the summer holidays!

On Wednesday 5th, officers carried out reassurance patrols across Hailsham and Heathfield as part of our work to help prevent anti-social behaviour during the summer holidays.

In Hailsham, officers patrolled:
• High Street
• Western Road Recreation Ground
• Roebuck Park, Hellingly
• Wealden Community Sports Hub

In Heathfield, officers patrolled:
• High Street
• Skate Park
• Tower Recreation Ground

These patrols are all about engaging with young people, providing reassurance to the wider community and helping to prevent issues before they arise.

Op Limit convictions continue

A total of 279 people were arrested during the operation, which ran from 1 December to 1 January.
